I purchased these tires 2 months ago because my all seasons where not giving me any confidence. I have never used them or heard of the company before. I tried Blizzaks but my Q5 didn't like them for some reason. So i went with the Hakkapeliitta R3. OMG the way they handle on ice and snow is unlike anything i have ever used. Maybe its because they are snow tires. All my other friends have different brands and i let them drive my car around a frozen parking lot and on the road. They couldn't believe how well these tire stuck to the road. Yes there is a little slip on ice but my SUV never fish tailed. I am new to this brand and you got me for life. Your tires keep me planted on Michigan's roads. Especially since we don't use sand/salt mix on our highways anymore. People spend the extra money and give yourself some confidence. I almost forgot, i took the sand bags out of my trunk. Don't need them.
