The next big safety leap: World's first tire production with zero CO2 emissions

Working in Nokian Tyres' new passanger car tire factory in Oradea, Romania will be your chance to be part of industrial history: it means you will work in the world’s first zero CO2 emission tire factory.

Nokian Tyres broke ground for the new Oradea factory in May 2023. The annual capacity of the Oradea factory will be 6 million tires with expansion potential in the future, with a total headcount of about 500 people. The total investment of the greenfield factory is estimated to be approximately EUR 650 million, which is among the most valuable investments in Romania in the recent years. The site will also house a distribution facility for storage and distribution of tires. The factory will concentrate on the production of larger rim size passenger car and SUV tires that will be primarily sold in the Central European market. For Nokian Tyres, it is one of the most important strategic projects of the near future.

The first tires are estimated to be produced in the second half of 2024. Commercial tire production is expected to start in early 2025.
