Jarmo Puputti appointed Managing Director of Nokian Heavy Tyres

Jarmo Puputti (M.Sc./Eng.) has been appointed the Managing Director of Nokian Heavy Tyres as of 1 August 2008. Mr. Puputti will report to Kim Gran, President and CEO of Nokian Tyres.
 
Jarmo Puputti’s previous employers include Patria, Metso Automation and Sandvik. At Patria, he was responsible for the global sales and marketing of the Land & Armament business unit, and he has also been the business manager for Patria Weapon Systems.
 
Puputti lists increasing production capacity and internationalisation as the main challenges for the near future.
 
- Internationalisation is well underway and there is a good drive on the markets. The right solutions to increase production capacity will be found in the next few years, he believes.
