Can winter tyres be used in the summer?

Using winter tyres in the summer is not recommended, even if they are non-studded, as they have a softer rubber compound and different tread structure than summer tyres. Tyres designed strictly for winter roads do not function safely in the summer. Also due to the compuonding, the wear of winter tyres of hot summer days is more rapid.
