Nokian Heavy Tyres introduces sturdy and efficient new earthmoving tyres

Nokian Heavy Tyres expands its special tyre offering with two sturdy new products for earthmoving use: the Nokian TRI 2 Extreme Steel and Nokian Loader Grip 3, both tailored for efficient use on demanding sites. The TRI 2 Extreme Steel tractor tyre features a tread designed particularly for conditions requiring constant use of chains. The Nokian Loader Grip 3 is designed for wheeled loaders. Its steadfast structure remains stable in the heavy earthmoving work.

The third new tyre by the world's leading manufacturer of special tyres is the new member of the Nokian Nordman family: the Nokian Nordman Mine All-Steel Radial, a sturdy and durable mining tyre.

Nokian TRI 2 Extreme Steel for demanding use with chains

As the name suggests, the Nokian TRI 2 Extreme Steel is suited for extremely demanding tasks such as metal recycling and waste processing work involving a high risk of cut or puncture damage. Also suitable for earthmoving use, this new tyre includes robust steel belts and a specially designed tread compound that provide excellent cut and puncture resistance in difficult road or terrain conditions.

The tread compound is particularly designed for continuous use with chains. The recommended chains are the Easy chains available from different manufacturers. The chain material must feature a diameter smaller than 9 mm.

The Nokian TRI2 Extreme Steel is a block-patterned tyre with an arrow-shaped tread pattern and strong structure, which guarantee efficient working hours and even wearing. The high load-bearing capacity enhances stability when moving heavy loads.

"The usage range of the reliable, versatile Nokian TRI 2 tractor tyre has been expanded to demanding targets where the tyre must demonstrate ultimate durability. The new Nokian TRI 2 Extreme Steel has a tread that is excellent for use with chains, and the structure reinforced with steel belts is extremely strong. A high resistance of cuts and punctures was a particular focus area in the tyre development process," says Martti Päivinen, Product Development Manager from Nokian Heavy Tyres.

Nokian Heavy Tyres' products are known for their environmental friendliness. The new Nokian TRI 2 Extreme Steel – like all Nokian Heavy Tyres' products – is made without any harmful high-aromatic oils. Only purified, low-aromatic oils are used in the manufacturing process. Moreover, the tyre has excellent cleaning properties, which prevents it from transferring soil onto roads.

The new Nokian Loader Grip 3 – efficient and reliable earthmoving partner

The Nokian Loader Grip 3 is a block-patterned special tyre targeted particularly at wheeled loaders. Thanks to its wide contact area and sturdy frame structure, the tyre has a stable and precise steering response. The open lateral and longitudinal grooves of the tread pattern easily remove excess soil and dirt.

The extremely strong Nokian Loader Grip 3 features a natural rubber-based special compound that guarantees excellent wear resistance and grip even on soft gravel. The sturdy steel frame structure and the steel belts under the tread ensure an impressive hourly output.

"The block-patterned Nokian Loader Grip 3 is an excellent choice for earthmoving use on demanding sites. The sturdy steel frame structure representing the All-Steel Radial technology ensures outstanding durability. The abrasion protection efficiently keeps the tyre safe from sidewall cuts and abrasions in rocky terrain," Päivinen says.

The pattern block DSI indicators enable keeping track of the magnificent wear resistance of the contracting tyre. When the numbers on the blocks have gradually faded, there is still 25% of the tread left.

The rolling direction of the Nokian Loader Grip 3 special tyre is not determinate. Only environmentally friendly, low-aromatic oils are used in the product manufacturing.

The newest member of the Nokian Nordman family, the Nokian Nordman Mine All-Steel Radial is a sturdy and durable special tyre for mining machines, such as dumpers working underground or in opencast quarries. The aggressive tread pattern ensures good grip even on slippery surfaces. The cut-resistant rubber compound and the All-Steel Radial structure provide a low rolling resistance and enable long transitions.
