Many victories in tests for Nokian Hakka summer tyres
The Nokian Hakka H and Nokian Hakka Z summer tyres have been collecting victories in tests both in Finland and abroad. In Finland, the tyres took first place in Tekniikan Maailma's summer tyres testing. They also won the tests carried out by Auto, Motor & Sport in Sweden, Norway’s Motor magazine and Za Rulem, a Russian motoring publication. Nokian Hakka i3 also won a test performed by the Auto Center magazine in Ukraine.
Uniformly top-quality characteristics helped Nokian Hakka H to number one position in Tekniikan Maailma’s latest H-speed class (210 km/h) summer tyres test (5/2010). This victory was crowned by achieving the lowest rolling resistance of all brands tested.
”Nokian Hakka H gives a quiet drive and reacts suitably rapidly and precisely to emergencies. It is a rare for a tyre simultaneously to exhibit top-class performance in wet grip, ease of control and comfortable and quiet handling’, says Tekniikka Maailma.
12 types of summer tyre of size 205/55 R16 H took part in the comparison. In tests, the Nokian Hakka H was uniformly the strongest in all categories. Of the different categories, top marks were gained for low noise levels and low rolling resistance. Tekniikan Maailma summed it up by saying, ‘excellent performance’.
Nothing reprehensible or poor was found in the Nokian H-class summer tyre.
The Y-speed class (300 km/h) Nokian Hakka Z tyre of size 225/40 R18 was also involved in the same test as the H-class tyres. The overall grade of the Nokian Hakka Z was the best of the entire test at 9.1. Driving qualities such as handling, swerving and braking were tested on wet and dry asphalt. In these tests, the 18-inch Nokian Hakka Z was in a class of its own, even defeating all the best 16-inch H-class tyres.
Russia’s biggest motoring magazine Za Rulem also compared the 185/60 R14 size of H-class summer tyre. Of the nine tyres in the test, the Nokian Hakka H was the winner and the magazine described it as 'a tyre without weaknesses’.
The success of Nokian Tyres’ summer tyres continued at Central Europe’s biggest tyre test, where ADAC of Germany tested 19 H-class summer tyres of size 185/65 R15. The result of this was a shared first position.
